IX. POSTGRADUATE TRAINING ON ROBOTIC SURGERY

  1. August – September 2006, Training on Robotic surgery, as a Console Surgeon, IRCAD / EITS, University of Strasbourg, FRANCE Prof. Jacques Marescaux. The program included theoretical courses and training on laboratory animals. This training is considered necessary for the surgeon as to safely handle the robotic console. It is also a necessary training for the use of the Da Vinci surgical system

General and Minimally Invasive Surgery Department, as Visitor Doctor, in a course of Robotic surgery, November-December 2006, Grosseto, ITALY Prof. Cristoforo Giullianotti.Prof. Cristoforo Giullianotti is considered the top robotic surgery surgeon in the world with the greatest number of robotic surgeries since 2001, including hepatectomies and pancreatectomies.

In October 2006 we established the Hellenic Scientific Society of Robotic Surgery in which I have the honours to function as the Board Secretary.

On March 1st, 2008, in Athens Concert Hall we organized the first Robotic Surgery Conference in Greece with international participation.

I had the honours of being the Secretary General of the Conference Organising Committee.
